Last night, I fell asleep sitting up on the couch while watching a show at the condo I’m staying at temporarily in Arizona. I woke up an hour later in a dazed panic wondering where my mom went (she stayed here for a few nights recently to help me look for a place to live). Then I really woke up and realized that I had lost it (😆) and also how much I love my mom. ❤️ No matter how old you are, you always need your mom. ❤️👯‍♀️
I flew my drone for the first time today!! 🤩 I. I flew my drone for the first time today!! 🤩 I.am.so.excited for all of the fun post-pandemic travel videos!

Really looking forward to the day when I can get back to the beach and snorkel! I have been watching endless videos of humpback whales in Hawaii. One of my favorite accounts for vicarious ocean life viewing is @seethroughsea . They do Big Island wildlife safaris and post lots of clips from their tours with whales, sharks, dolphins, fish, etc., etc! I can’t wait to do a tour with them. Follow them for some dead of winter 💀 warm weather joy. 😅

🎆 Happy New Year! 🎆 🌟 2020 has been fille 🎆 Happy New Year! 🎆
🌟 2020 has been filled with so much heartache, but also so much joy! Here are some things I am most grateful for that happened in 2020:
❤️ More time to slow down & spend time with my parents, siblings and other family when it was possible and technology to connect us when it wasn’t
👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨 Tyler and Leslie got engaged!
💛 Many wonderful friends who welcomed me into their homes during this strange and nomadic year
🐻🦬🦃🐴 The beautiful world we live in and all of God’s creations — so much wildlife viewing this year! Including seeing my first bears (outside of Alaska) in the wild (but I did go to Bear World in Rexburg, Idaho this year, too🙃)
😅 Lived in Frisco, CO, Glendale, AZ, Victor, ID, Mesa AZ, and Boulder, CO learning how to care for kids, babies, women & pregnant mamas
👩🏻‍⚕️ Graduated from PA school & passed my boards!
🎣 Both new & improved hobbies: fishing, quilting (stay tuned for the reveal of my and Mama Benz’s current project!), painting, cake baking & decorating, photography & photo editing, crabbing (& online shopping🙃)
🎄 Serious Christmas light set-up & decorating with my parents and Christmas music jam sessions with them and David. We had so much fun!
✨ Social media is often filled with the highlight reels, pretty pictures and funny captions (which I love!). This has been a hard year — for me and even more heartbreaking for others. But I don’t want to look back on 2020 with only sadness when there is so much light to be found, too. I am, however, really looking forward to 2021! 😃 I’m moving to Arizona this month. Hoping and praying for good times ahead. ☀️

But regardless of what does or doesn’t happen in 2021, this quote keeps running through my mind and I know it‘s the truth:
✨ “Of this be sure: you don’t find the happy life — you make it.” -President Thomas S. Monson ✨

Happy New Year, friends! Hoping you all have a wonderful 2021! 🌟
Christmas ornament painting with my mamacita tonig Christmas ornament painting with my mamacita tonight! She is SO talented! This is of the Boulder Flatirons. (She only paints a few times a year. Comment if you think she should paint more, yeah??!) I followed a Skillshare class (kind of 😅 - I’m not the best student) from @bydylanm Sooo fun! Merry Christmas week! 🎄💒🎅🏻
